I liked the way Irish folklore was kinda incorporated in the story. It’s done lightly but the author says so in the foreword which excuses the things that are not accurate.
The story felt a bit unfinished. Why is there nothing done with the side character that can’t change back. There was such a opportunity to do that.
It was also not exactly the ending i envisioned but that surprised me positively as most of these romance fantasy stories are wildly predictable.
