Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia

4.0

I really enjoyed this book.

Yeah, it could use a little work, as many other reviewers have pointed out, but the book was beautiful. It captured the emotions, especially the heartache, of both Lena AND Ethan, and it really surprised me. I loved the town of Gatlin and the different characters, and (no spoilers intended) Mrs. Lincoln made a LOT of sense towards the end.

I loved Lena's homecoming and the Disciplinary Committee. I liked Ethan's moments with Amma and Marian. Ridley was pretty cool, too.

Overall, I think the Garcia and Stohl did a darn good job with this book, and I cannot wait to read Beautiful Darkness.
