Punching Bag is a beautifully written book about one man’s experience of growing up the victim of domestic violence and all that comes with it. As he struggles to deal with everything happening at home, the loss of his sister when he was a child, and attempting to shield his younger brother from the same fate as himself, Rex Ogle paints a difficult but hopeful story of survival. It’s incredibly difficult read. However, anyone who’s picked up this book who may be in a similar situation or who has lived it, it’s a reminder you’re never truly alone and that there’s always a little hope.
