I have been seeing this book all over Bookstagram, so when I saw it was a Book of the Month option, I immediately picked it. And I was not disappointed by the hype.

I flew through this book in two days. You have a good idea of what's going to happen by the end of the book, but trying to figure out 𝘩𝘰𝘸 it's going to happen is the thriller aspect of this novel. There were a couple different ways I thought it would play out, but I was not totally correct with any of my guesses. And then that ending. Whew. I'm still not sure who's telling the truth and what's a lie!

I loved the way the story was formatted too. Part book, part podcast, part Netflix documentary. It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. And I'd honestly love to see this turned into a real Netflix "documentary" as I think it would be just as engaging.

This was my first Lisa Jewell book, and she was able to really add layers to her characters so well. Not a single one is perfect, and you end up feeling so many emotions for each of them. I have another book by this author on my bookshelf, Then She Was Gone, that I think I'll be picking up soon!
