Carrie Soto Is Back, by Taylor Jenkins Reid

5.0

This was my first TJR, and I absolutely loved it. Carrie wasn’t easy to love at times, in fact, sometimes I couldn’t stand her, but I always found myself rooting for her at every match. I am also a huge Jav fan. I enjoyed the 90’s references too (I feel like Carrie and princess Diana could have been bffs). I also loved how much I learned about tennis from this book, it honestly makes me wish I learned to play (but I’m so unauthentic so it would be a hot mess). I gave this five stars because I couldn’t put it down. This book makes me think of what Serena Williams could be feeling as she goes through a similar thing, and I think she would enjoy and relate to this book.
