It starts with a beautiful telling of 1930 with a cottagecore vibe (πππ ππππππ’π) and the type of "historical fiction" that I LOVE. Continues with the slow-paced journey of Isabelle (sister of Vianne), who joins the anti-Nazi community.

I'm enjoying reading The Nightingale for 8daysπ its a long journey, I know, but still, I'm glad that I'm taking my time to read this.

It is really pleasant to read this kind of genre, storyline, and type of writing. The author expressed perfectly the historical and wartime vibes (the struggle, the evil of soldiers, the emotions and the torment), as well as the character's feelings. I might buy more books by this author.πββ

As you guys said, it is a heartbreaking/sad book and I FEEL IT. The feeling that makes me think about the war I've been through, about Palestineπ΅πΈ, about what I'd do if I lived during a war or in a war zone, about what I'd do if I willingly sacrificed and took action?
