The Loving Daylights by Lynsay Sands
4.0
I'm pretty much a Lynsay Sands fanatic. I've read just about everything that she has written, I love her historicals and her Argeneau vampire series (all 18 of them). When I read the blurb for The Loving Daylights, I was very excited because I realized that this was going to be a completely new Lynsay Sands experience. The Loving Daylights is vastly different from Sands other work, but I'm happy to say it was just as enjoyable. It's pretty obvious from the beginning that Sands is spoofing the typical super secret spy agent story so you have to go into it with some serious suspension of disbelief. Yes it's something that has been done (a la Austin Powers), but I think Sands pulled it off quite well. She managed to combine a real romance story with believable emotional growth, a pretty suspenseful mystery, and laugh out loud humor to create a novel that kept me interested and entertained throughout.
