Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement by Angela Y. Davis
5.0
A very important book that showcases the struggle of black people, indigenous people and Palestinians is interconnected.
I loved this author points, it also brought me more clarity over prison abolition. I’m still not 100% sure how it would work and that we need to fix other départements before abolishing prisons but i agree very much on how it’s not serving us now but serving the white supremicist who are in power (same ad the police)
I would say the only point i didn’t agree with her was about her view of Obama because she acknowledged he did bad things but she still likes to think he can do better, i personally think Obama is one of the worst because he played the race card and everyone thought he will be someone good because he faced the same struggles as us, unfortunately he wasn’t. Libya was bombed the most under his mandate.
Anyway highly recommend to read this book.
