Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris by Paul Gallico, Paul Gallico
5.0
I loved listening to this on audiobook. It’s hard to say alot when you love a book. I loved the perfect proportions of scenes being built and the drive of the story. I love how it starts with her on the plane with the hat so I can not stress while listening to how she got the money. I thought for sure the french dog would have won her the dress money. I had no clue what the amount of money at the beginning in dollars equaled to pounds so I was constantly holding my breathe wondering if she had enough. Everyone feels like real people with real lives and it makes sense why they take to Mrs. Harris. I was so happy she got to sit in the front row during a fashion show, and got to spend a whole week in Paris. I was so happy that everyone’s lives were better cause of her. I HATED THAT ACTRESS!! I couldn’t believe she was whatever about burning it. It’s kinda scary that’s just a thing that could happen. I was holding back tears when her dress was ruined. My face about broke when they sent her all those flowers with beautiful messages. I see why the original title was different than the current one. I’m happy title I had was Mrs. Harris goes to Paris more surprise that way for me. I’m happy her friend didn’t pop up at the end I felt like it would have ruined the nice feeling of the ending.
Was it cheesy? Yes. Do I care? NO!
Origin of Hallmark movies maybe but omg so FUN to read.
