As a cisgender white woman take this review for what it is. I enjoyed this novel very much. I also recognize that this is fiction. This is really some of the best case scenarios put together to make it palatable to the masses. Meredith does address this in the authors note which I do this is important. I would have liked to have seen a little more realism in the end, but I don't mind a HEA.
