Burn for Me by Sara Cate
4.0
This one starts off with a flashback about the case that got Cullen’s dad put in prison. It lays the foundation for the whole book. The next couple chapters after that are Everly starting her new professor position. Little does she know that the son of the man she sent to prison is in her class.
Things are pretty intense with Cullen in the first few chapters that I was honestly worried I wasn’t going to like this book. He has intense anger issues and blames Everly for how his life turned out. As the book goes on his feelings for her become mixed.. I then had conflicting feelings about his character.
It’s an intense battle to get through to someone who holds so much anger and hatred but this was written so perfectly. The surprises at the end were unexpected as well but worked perfectly for this.
