The Almost Moon by Alice Sebold

4.0

If you have ever read an Alice Sebold novel, this will feel familiar. Her style is evident throughout the novel. While the subject matter was tough and at first seemed quite ludicrous, I do think that it had a natural and human aspect that many writers are afraid to tackle.

I liked how Helen was characterized as someone you should like but ultimately hate. Her actions are what make her real. I enjoyed how the book did not sugar coat it and end on a perfect note of happiness and resolve.

Overall, a good read that was quite easy.
