I’ll admit I didn’t like Joseph in the first book and wasn’t so sure of him by the second book. He was elevated to a character I not only like, but also sympathize with in this book. He just has so many walls up so he’s hard to get to know. And the incident that made him unlikable in the first book had a purpose so I can forgive him for that. I’m enjoying this series and these books can be read as standalone stories, but there will be a bit of spoilers if you read them out of order.

There is so much going on in this story, but it’s all handled beautifully and it flows well. Not only is there an age gap between Noemi aka Em and Joseph, but he also discovers she’s the daughter of one of his most important customers. Something that could put him in hot water with the father as well as the daughter. But there is no denying the chemistry between Joseph and Noemi and he keeps putting off telling her who he is while trying to fool himself into believing they’re only having a fling.

As the title suggests, mistakes are made. But Noemi helps Joseph to enjoy life and family again while Joseph shows Noemi how strong she really is in every way. I love how well Joseph learns Noemi’s tells and pushes her to give her all she needs. The caretaking aspect of Joseph’s personality had me swooning.

Another fantastic addition to this series. Once again, a story full of heat and love giving me all the warm fuzzies.
