“Guess you found the only thing in the world stronger than a man’s hard head. … That’d be a woman’s heart.”
“Found” is not a “normal” Rosalind James book in that is a lot edgier and steamier than her other books. This book os book 3 of 3 part related series and the story makes a lot more sense if you have read “Fierce” and “Fractured” already since the characters are introduced in “Fierce” and the plot line introduced. “Found” is the book that pulls it all together and concludes the mini series.
I have to say that I liked “Found” the best in this series. I liked “Fierce” and the start of the series, I did not like “Fractured.” But the changes in Hemi as a result of what happened in “Fractured” have turned him into a more likable character. He has become more human; not a total control freak who denies his feelings.
This book start where “Fractured” left off with Hope in En Zed staying with Kori and being surrounded by the rest of Hemi’s whāngai or extended family. And Hemi and her sister are still in New York City.
Living with a teen ager means that Hemi has to learn to adapt and he slowly becomes more human as a result. And Hemi learns to trust not just Hope and Karen but more importantly, himself. To me, this is what has makes this book the best one in this series, Hemi learning to trust himself and allow himself to feel again. Only by learning to trust himself, is Hemi able to learn to love not only Hope but himself.
“love isn’t something you say. It’s something you do. I’m going to be doing it, and so are you.”
