Unfortunate Stars: A Wartime Confession by Susan Lanigan

4.0

Unfortunate Stars is a strong and heartwarming story. It focuses on a gay man back in 1915 and 1938, two different times in his life. The story sheds light on the persecution and discrimination of homosexuality during the time period. The story was well written and you can feel the emotions and thoughts that went into it.
I thought the narrator of this short story was fantastic. His voice was so easy to listen to and his ability to change accent and dialects was great. I really enjoyed listening to it.
I think stories like this are so important and serve as a great reminder that, throughout the decades, love is love.
