Folsom Untold: The Strange True Story of Johnny Cash's Greatest Album by Danny Robins

3.0

I'd probably say 2 1/2 stars if I could. It was really overdramatized at points. Still I learned a lot I didn't know, but overall it was underwhelming. I did like the narrators voice, as it reminds me of Ron Jonson, who I do really enjoy. It was similar to his books or talks or podcasts. This didn't really feel like a book, but more of a podcast actually. I don't really understand the whole audible only thing as it's basically just a podcast or radioshow. Sure it had to be written, but it's just not the same. It gets confusing where the lines are, especially with something like this, but if you really enjoy Johnny Cash and don't already know much about him or this particular album, go ahead and check it out. I wouldn't spend money on it personally (I got it free for a 1 month trial), but you do you.
