Perfect beach read! Picked it up on vacation from a little free library; tomorrow I will take it back, pleased to start the series from the beginning. In some ways, the characters are almost caricatures, but as somebody who grew up in the south, I know these people and feel the author’s affection for the type of weird that flourishes there. Too many characters, but easy enough to read without really bothering to backtrack to figure out the relationships. Convoluted plot, but again, who cares?
