The Blue Between Sky and Water by Susan Abulhawa

3.0

"War changed people. It created cowardice and bravery and produced legends."

Nothing I say can suffice to the plight and suffering of the Palestinian people. The Blue Between Sky and Water, another well written novel by Susan Abulhawa, makes your heart physically pain and wonder how strong their faith is while living in the largest open air prison.

Even though this book gives you an understanding of what's happening in Palestine, it focuses heavily on family, love, and the comerradire of women. The story is told by many different characters, which at times made it difficult to keep up, but at the same time, the different points of view were woven very well!
At times, it got very difficult to read due to the graphic explanation of the situation. There were times in the book where I felt it was dragged.

Although I enjoyed this book, I still would say Mornings in Jenin is her best novel till now.
