Did not finish book. Stopped at 57%.
SO many overused and tired tropes. Alice being brought in halfway through with a sexual assault plot line that only serves to advance the male main character’s line was the moment I couldn’t get past. But, also the near constant fat phobia. Also, a black woman who lets her two kids run off to play unsupervised with the new single white guy next door? Yeah, that seems likely.
