I may not have been the target audience, as I picked up the book for a book club and didn't realize it was a romance! I loved the characters and the journey they all set on. Each is so memorable and the growth they all make throughout the story is realistic and the most sincere I've seen in a long, long time. My only hang up was that the book was incredibly steamy and had more sex scenes than expected; I'm not sure how well it works as a book club read amongst strangers or if I'm just more prude than the typical romance audience. I sincerely recommend this book!
