This is a science fiction classic I had not re-read since I was a boy (now 68). It's a very interesting read. The book is shorter than I remembered! Nowadays, if a book isn't at least 400 pages it's over before the characters are fully developed (unless in a series where the characters are already known). One can tell how much the world has changed since the 50's when this was written, but the ending is both beautiful and unexpected (to those who haven't read it before). I recommend it.
