Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter
4.0
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW: 4 stars for Pretty Girls.
If you like thriller books with plenty of trigger warnings with a corrupt government then you’ll probably like this book. It’s hard to give an overview of this book without giving spoilers….but let’s try.
After Clair’s sister goes missing her family deals with the tragedy in different ways which ends up tearing the family apart. Years go by and another death in the family leads to absolutely terrifying truths that bring Claire and her remaining sister and mother back together again.
The beginning of this book was a little confusing to me, I’m not sure if it’s just because it was audio or what but seemed to be jumping around. After about halfway through you realize why the jumping around was kind of necessary. This is definitely worth the read if you like graphic disturbing thrillers. I gasped several times and near the end you kept being hit with yet another terrifying truth. I’d recommend this book.
