The Truth about Alice by Jennifer Mathieu

4.0

3.75

This book mastered the art of writing in teenagerish ways. It was written in a way I could appreciate. I felt bad for Alice right away. The book did do a great representation on how badly rumors actually do hurt and how fast they get around.

The reason it got downgraded .25 points is the ending.... what a totally, and completely un-satisfying ending for this type of book. The book could honestly have used another 100 pages to tie everything up, or even just an epilogue of sorts. Also, I wish the characters weren’t so stereotypical, because it made it so hard to like/sympathies/relate/understand to the characters.
