The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

5.0

Beautiful story with a sad but realistic ending. I loved that the book wasn't hopelessly romantic and that it had elements of truth that makes up our society. From the green light, to the descriptive city life, the marital affairs and importance of money in this world to acquire respect and fame, this book was short and crisp. The only parts that I skimmed over were unnecessary details of the people invited for Gatsby's parties and extra parts like that. It was also intresting to see Gatsby's life with the narrator's perspective which showed how Gatsby's actions could've been percieved by his close acquaintances and friends.
