Touch of Evil by Cecy Robson

4.0

When the Weird Girls popped up on the scene a few years back. I was hooked! Ms. Robson had created this wonderful family of sisters with unusual gifts that turned the paranormal world upside down with their abilities and sassy attitudes.

Touch of Evil is told in Emme and Bren’s POV’s. I thought we might be starting off where we left off at the end of Of Flame and Fury, but we go back in time to the events between Of Flame and Light and Of Flame and Fate. I will say this threw me at first, but I soon got back into the story.

The Wird sisters are a passionate bunch with bold personalities and a “tell it like it is” attitude that makes them pretty badass. The exception to this rule is Emme the youngest Wird sister. She’s shy, innocent, kind, compassionate and has a gift for healing. She’s all about making love, not war.

We finally get to see Emme prove to everyone that she maybe the quiet one, but she’s mighty and fierce. She’s been battling self-esteem issues her whole life and now she feels more like an outsider looking in with her crazy chaotic family. All of them have found their fated mates and are starting families and happily ever afters.

What we get to see is Emme come out of her shell and fighting something that wants to hurt her and her family. We get to see what caused the tension between Emme and Bren that we saw in Of Flame and Fury. I had a blast seeing Emme grow. As for Bren I want to know why? I’d tell you what went on, but then you'll miss out on an exciting adventure. I can’t wait to see where things go with these two.
