Heat Rises by Richard Castle

4.0

Murder, betrayal, friendship, love, dirty cops, survival...this book was one big roller coaster ride and I loved it. I also really enjoyed its setting in New York City and the details of buildings and land marks that made it into the story. I found myself googling a lot of these land marks to see what they looked like and to figure out if I had ever seen them while I was in the city years ago.
I wish we got to read more about the Perry/Heat friendship, but I think I remember there is more of that in the next bunch of books.
Glad I read this book a second time. Did not disappoint!
