To start off, I genuinely love a slow burn and i did love how drawn out this was. I am not going to try to contradict my last statement, but I do believe a good hundred pages could’ve been cut from the story. The slow burn still would’ve been just as gratifying, it just would’ve cut some of the unnecessary subplot that I feel did not serve the characters in a purposeful way.

Furthermore, this is simply a personal preference and obviously not all will agree, but with grumpy/sunshine trope i prefer a dual pov if the author is going to make the male character literally mean at the beginning. It would allow me to at least see his perspective when he is treating her this way. Otherwise i end up liking him by the end of the book, sure, but still ultimately can’t get over how he senselessly insults her and brushes her off.

Lastly, the i feel like the resolutions were a bit choppy at the end. The author failed to eloquently tie up the million subplots she had. Sure, she didn’t leave any loose ends, but it didn’t feel fluid and felt sort of dull the way she just shuffled through each resolution at the end. It felt like a check list.
