The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman

4.0

This book is almost a spiritual read.
Beautiful. Short. Scary. Real.
In any book written by [a:Neil Gaiman|1221698|Neil Gaiman|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1234150163p2/1221698.jpg], you can be sure that you will fall in love with the language. "Nobody actually looks like what they really are on the inside. You don’t. I don’t. People are much more complicated than that. It’s true of everybody"
A story of a boy who faces demons, a story about childhood, about our journey through life, our fears and to the evils we succumb to, and how we manage to beat them at the end. This book is truly beautiful, and I suppose, it will present a different meaning to each of the readers.
I hope, I get to meet the Hempstocks one day!
Magical Realism fans, this book is a sure treat for you.
