Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
Did not finish book. Stopped at 75%.
DNF 75% in:
- very very interesting to consider in the realm of queer theory/studies; I was very surprised by how ✨gay✨ it was
- I can recognize this books impact on ‘the novel,’ & it’s influence as a stream of consciousness narrative, & feminism
- ultimately, so so so fucking boring, and so much useless rambling over like nothing? Every now and then there was beautifully lyrical quotes & veiled metaphors/commentary that was quite beautiful/biting, but a loottttt of it was very unnecessary & quite painful to get through
- also had constant weird orientalist/racist comments that completely killed the vibe
