I love Barbara Kingsolver’s writing. She creates dynamic characters who are less than lovable but very interesting and real. I thought the story was random but really well constructed and had me listening non stop. I love the way she weaves in real history and fabricated emotional depth. Really enjoyed this one
Graphic: Chronic illness, Racial slurs, Racism, Suicide, Medical content, and Death of parent
