House Love: A Joyful Guide to Cleaning, Organizing, and Loving the Home You're In by Karin Miller, Patric Richardson
inspiring
lighthearted
fast-paced
3.0
I expected this book to be a little more informative about how to keep your home clean and organized. Instead, it was like that person you visit who insists on taking you on a tour of their home so they can humble brag about all their furniture and decor.
Maybe it's because I gravitate toward the minimalist side, but when the author told us about the more than a dozen lights he had in his living room space all I could think was--unless I live in a castle, I see no need to squeeze that many lights into one room. God forbid they ever need to move--it sounds like it would take weeks!
I did appreciate that when he discussed cleaning, it was mostly using a 50/50 vinegar/water solution and other minimally processed cleaning supplies. I just wish there was more information about what we could do in our homes and less descriptions of his.
