Chasing Love by Kat T. Masen

1.0

There is no way this wasn’t written by a high school student who later edited it in their mid twenties. This should have stayed on the ol’ hard drive. What a mess. Problems I have with this include “oh em gee” being included multiple times, catty conversations no self respecting person over 16 would admit to and whiplash behaviour between the main characters. The main characters childhood friend re-enters her life and within a month main characters post uni best friends are included in a trip planned by childhood friend. Huh? Do people invite strangers to a vacation home? So much red pen was needed on this draft.
The villains were so one dimensional and so cheesy.
I wanted to ditch this about 109 times but persevered to finish only for it to end on a cliffhanger? YIKES. I wish I could get back the time I spent reading this mess.
Lessons learned - if you aren’t into it, do not finish it.
