This Valentine’s Day, Daisy Murray has her heart set on binge-watching rom-coms. Instead, an earthquake traps her inside a bakery with its impossibly rude and insufferably handsome owner and head baker. They already have a history: she’s always smiled, he’s always scowled. Where better to finally get to know each other than amid the disaster? Then again, they have no choice. Besides, it could have its sweet, undeniable, and unpredictable perks.

Drop, Cover, and Hold On is novella number four in The Improbable Meet-Cute series and I absolutely loved that it takes place in a bakery. I'd never read Jasmine Guillory before, but do have several of her books on my TBR, so this was a nice her taste.

There is no denying the plot for this one is original and highly unlikely (honestly how could this exact situation even happen), yet I found it a fun and lighthearted read and definitely a little spicier than the first installments. I wanted so badly to be transported to the bakery to eat all of the delicious pastries, sandwiches, and hand pies. I'm not going to lie the fact he saves her some stuff just in case had me swooning despite the cheese factor.

Overall, I enjoyed reading Drop, Cover, and Hold On more than some of the other novellas simply because I loved the setting and food descriptions. Yes, it was a little fat-fetched in its content
