Hauntingly beautiful. The imagery was phenomenal. I did not expect the twist at the end at all. I feel like I could read this book ten times and still discover little treasures in the writing I had missed before, as I peel back the layers. The story explores two best friends who try to leave the mortal world behind for the land of the fae while exploring what it means to be human, to be mortal, to be loved, and ideas of identity.
