Initially, this book was too syrupy sweet and I thought I might give up on it. As the characters' individual stories and relationships developed, I found that I really liked the characters and wanted to see how things turned out for them. There's a lot of magical realism in this book, but at the same time, it appropriately addresses themes of found family, acceptance, and grief. With a little added mystery and second-chance romance, it was a fun read, though a little predictable.
Moderate: Chronic illness, Death of parent, and Pregnancy
