 “Fuck you!” I spit.

I chose the quote above bc it best encapsulates the themes of this book. i’m very picky with my shifter type novels bc i absolutely despise the whole “ah you have to be a docile submissive breedable female to this guy.” thing. and this novel tackles exactly that. seeing Seneca’s inner turmoil was sooo satisfying. and not in a sadistic way but in a i enjoyed the way the author wrote this. a lot of the times in other books the women will put up a fight for like a chapter or two and then roll over and are like ok i love u now ☠️
at one point seneca says something along the lines of “i know my wolf likes him, but what about me?” and it’s exactly that! i don’t mind the whole fated mates or any of that but damn lemme get attached first! and then on top of all that she’s dealing with the fact that she was brutalized, almost raped and she literally buried her mom like a week prior 💀 let a girl breathe my god.
overall this book was amazing and i thoroughly enjoyed it! the epilogue was sooooo satisfying 😁😁😁 should’ve fed him his intestines but whatever
