A very interesting concept. Seeing the way world both adapted to and capitalized on the Death Cast was very intriguing, but could have been explored even more. The characters and their romance are likable enough, but the way the dialogue is written felt very "hello fellow kids" so that part was kinda off-putting. I will say the ending hits like a ton of bricks.
