Mutual Aid: Building Solidarity During This Crisis (and the Next) by Dean Spade

5.0

Easy read for such a substantive, thorough introduction to Mutual Aid. As an anti-capitalist, there's still a lot for me to learn and unlearn. One being my perception of the non-profit and public service industries are forever changed through this text. The book also contains a comprehensive, thoughtful guide on how to run a successful mutual aid program, navigate anticipated challenges, and prompts individuals to self-reflect and question the root systemic causes of the issues. I borrowed this book from my local library and I will be buying a copy for myself to reference and apply the tools from this text within the activism I'm involved in.
