I’ll admit, I didn’t like Kira very much at the beginning of the book. But as we learn more about her story and why she acts the way she acts, I’ve grown to respect her. Aehako is truly a perfect mate for her. His cheery sunshine alien self brings her out of her shyness and elicits more of the confidence and determination that she’s held bottled up inside.
And that last chapter had me on a rollercoaster: happy, then heartbroken, hen ecstatic and joy. It would’ve been interestingto have a couple that doesn’t resonate, that she doesn’t have to get pregnant in order for her to have her happy ending.
