The Madness of Viscount Atherbourne by Elisa Braden
dark
medium-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? It's complicated
- Loveable characters? It's complicated
- Diverse cast of characters? No
- Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
2.75
LIKES:
- writing style and smut scenes
- her way of hyping up the next couples in the series
- time jumps where you actually feel that there is a time jump
DISLIKES:
- insta-lust between hero and heroine
- wishy-washy character and moods of the hero
- rushed/no natural progression of emotional chemistry between the two main leads. Meaning, I need to see from their banter and conversations their act of falling in love
- more show than tell
- a bit of sketchy behavior from the hero that I somehow interpreted as abuse (whoops!)
Graphic: Sexual content
Moderate: Death, Suicide, Toxic relationship, and Grief
Minor: Murder
