'The Magician's Daughter' was a cozy coming-of-age story that was charming and emotional in equal measure. I loved reading about Biddy and I was so proud of her by the end of the book being able to look at how much she grew into her confidence and kindness. The actual plot was good but I found myself putting this book down a lot, it was on the slower side for me, and although there was interesting magic and concepts, I wasn't as engaged as I wanted to be. One of my favorite parts of this book was Rowan and Hutch's relationship and that ending was so touching. I'm glad I picked this up and even though it's not a favorite I think it'll be staying on my shelves and hopefully one day I can reread it and give it the proper attention it deserves.
