omg I don't know why it took me so long to read this book!

Call-me-Grant. yuck, YUCK. eww, he makes my skin crawl. Especially the last mention of him watching the high-school hockey game on tv, uugghhh.
I think what I loved about it the most was how real it felt. The characters are very realistic and reacted to situations in ways that you would expect from teenagers. They were written in a way that if the author said 'surprise, these character are based on real people', I would not be shocked. And I think this makes the events of the book so much more shocking and impactful.
The amount of times my jaw dropped is insane, if I wasn't on public transport the book would have been thrown.
