China Dolls by Lisa See

2.0

Some of the history of the war was interesting in this book, especially from a Chinese perspective. However, this book didn't seem to have the emotion or luster as Snow Flower and the Secret Fan. The story is told from the perspectives of 3 different women. Different backgrounds, different life views, etc., but they were all written with the same voice, so sometimes it was confusing as to who was the narrator for the chapter. There were a few chapters that pulled me in, but it really dragged on waaaaay too long.
