Hook Shot, by Kennedy Ryan

5.0

soul~ful: full of or expressing feeling or emotion. {this is Kennedy Ryan's writing}

Every once in a while you read a book that has you re-evaluating every 5-star rating that you've ever given. This book did that for me. Kennedy Ryan writes beautiful words and characters and stories.

Words like smoldering, longing, desire and attraction are the first words that came to mind while reading this book. She has a magical way of bringing these feelings to life. I'm not sure how she does it, but she creates the most intimate moments from the simplest of thingss, whether it be a stolen kiss, a walk in a park or just leaning against a car.

Her characters are special and I think Lotus and Kenan are my favorite from this series. We've felt their connection through the first 2 1/2 books and they finally find each other in this one. They are both old souls and just seem so perfect for each other from the get-go. You feel they were truly meant to be.

"This feeling between us is a tempest, and I have no desire to take shelter. When she kisses me, I forget everything and want to stand in the rain."

"We stare at one another across centuries, across continents, across time and space, and I actually believe that I would have found him anywhere. There is no place, no spot on the continuum of time that could have hidden this man from me."
