Every Day by David Levithan

2.0

There were some really beautiful ideas and short passages that caught my breath, but I have to say overall I was disappointed by this book. I got hooked by the first chapter, but the more I read, the more improbable the story line became for me. One thing I do have to say is I applaud Levithan's attempt, and I think success, to break down the barriers of gender. He shows us how to start loving an individual for who he or she is as a person and not for his or her biological sex or gender identity. I thought that was daring.
