something i like in the splatterpunk books i’ve read so far is the themes of the books, like in Tender is the Flesh being (in my opinion) about humanity’s selfishness and the desire to only get what you want, with nothing else mattering. I find reading about things that make you think interesting and fun. I personally could not find a theme for this book. it’s all just shock horror and gore and i had to force myself through it. thankfully it only took me about two hours to get through, would not recommend to anyone.
