Things We Say in the Dark by Kirsty Logan

3.0

3.5 Collection of short stories. Not my genre by far. I don't know how to catalogue this: a bit of horror, magical realism and folk tales. The first section was my favorite. Specially “Girls are Always Hungry When all the Men are Bite-Size" and "Birds Fell From the Sky and Each One Spoke in Your Voice”.

Didn't hate it, didn't love it. I did love the kind of horror it tells. The 'house' bit is real good.

Quote: A house is family. A house is history. A house is a body.
