The Viscount Who Loved Me by Julia Quinn

3.0

much to my surprise, i actually liked this? historical fiction isn’t really my cup of tea, but once again this was one emily forced me to read. the enemies to lovers trope within this book really did everything for me. i loved anthony and kate and the progression of their relationship throughout the story. they always kept me on my toes, especially with anthony’s character development around falling in love. i do wish more had happened in the middle? i found some parts of the book to be a little bit repetitive after a while, which definitely could just be me but idk. i also (like emily) was expecting a grander ending. i was so ready for a dramatic, incredible ending but i almost feel like it fell flat. i’m not sure what i would’ve liked in its place, but i was wanting more. all in all, i liked this book a lot more than i thought i would! who knows, maybe i’m a historical fiction girly now?? thanks emily!
