This Is Your Brain on Birth Control: The Surprising Science of Women, Hormones, and the Law of Unintended Consequences by Sarah Hill

informative fast-paced

1.75

Big disappointment for what the title teases as an interesting topic. Author avoids conveying nuance or expertise in the biology or neuroscience of birth control pills, rather meandering through a narrow view of sexual behavioral commentary. The footnotes are used for annoying commentary while the scientific endnotes are difficult to reference while reading. This book’s audience is limited to ciswomen interested in reproduction with very little scientific discourse on that topic anyway.
