Aquaman by Geoff Johns: Omnibus, by Geoff Johns, Joe Prado, Ivan Reis

4.0

I can't say that this book turned me into Aquaman's number one fan but, I'm starting to see the appeal of this character. The writing by Geoff Johns is fantastic! He made this universe and the characters ( Mainly Aquaman and Mera) far more interesting than I ever thought they could be. The world-building is fantastic too. This is on some Shakespearian-type stuff with a fight over who is the rightful king of Atlantia (however you spell that word.) It's very clear to me that the "Aquaman" movie took a lot of influence from this run of the character. I guess my only real gripe with this omnibus is that, since this is the complete run of "Aquaman" it kind of ends on a cliffhanger, and like I stated earlier, as good as this run is, I still don't know it has turned me into a huge "Aquaman" fan but, it's definitely made me interested in checking out more runs of this character.
